For a year Relander has been double exposing landscapes into mason jars, this to realize a childish dream. He plays with the idea of being an ambitious collector conserving his environments into a large personal collection. Most landscapes are from where he grew up, in the countryside in the south of Finland, where Relander's roots still lie. After becoming father separation anxiety to his own childhood absorbed him into this project.

With analog multiple exposures, Relander is able to manipulate his film in-camera—this project was not created or manipulated in an external software such as Photoshop. All double exposures are exposed on medium format film that Relander develop and scan himself.

Jarred & Displaced is an ongoing project, this is Relander's first installment.
